Three-Step Face Routine for Dry Mature Skin

Three-Step Face Routine for Dry Mature Skin

At Nakin we receive lots of queries from our lovely customers and a common one that comes up is if we can recommend the best combination of our products for dry mature skin, and often looking to start with a traditional 3-step routine which includes a cleanser, toner and moisturiser.

This is easy for us to answer as we have perfect products for this. If this is you and you are also looking for a similar routine then read on to see the best 3-step routine for you below:

  • Begin your routine with our Advanced Cleansing Milk which is an oil-based cleanser that cleanses the face while hydrating and comforting at the same time with the hyaluronic acid and the plant cleansing and conditioning extracts.
  • If you like to use a toner then our Purifying Face Toner is an excellent double cleanse.
  • Moisturise with our Active Dew Face Cream which hydrates, nourishes and protects the skin with hyaluronic acid, cassia, pomegranate and plant oils. This is for day and night use. It does not contain SPF, which should be applied before going outside and topped up as required.

The only other products to consider is our Eye Cream Complex for the eye area which is hydrating, line smoothing and energising from its plant peptide, hyaluronic acid and stimulating plant and marine extracts. We also have our Performance Face Serum and Revitalising Face Oil as treatments for under the face cream, and our Lip Treatment Balm for lips. If you like to exfoliate then also consider our Exfoliating Radiance Tonic. Everything in the range can be found here

Nakin's Three-Step Face Routine for dry mature skin is highly regarded for its effectiveness and simplicity, offering targeted hydration and rejuvenation. This specialised regimen begins with a gentle cleanser, designed to remove impurities without stripping the skin of its natural oils. Following this, the use of a hydrating cleansing toner deeply revives the skin, infusing it with essential nutrients and to clear inflammation. The final step, a hydrating moisturiser, locks in moisture and provides a protective barrier against environmental aggressors, leaving the skin feeling soft, smooth, and revitalised. Together, these three steps form a comprehensive skincare routine that addresses the unique needs of dry mature skin, promoting a youthful glow and overall skin health.

In addition to the three steps outlined above, there are other factors that can greatly impact the health and appearance of dry mature skin. It is important to note that proper hydration and nutrition play a crucial role in maintaining healthy skin. Drinking enough water and consuming a balanced diet rich in vitamins and minerals can help improve the overall hydration levels of the skin, leading to a more supple and radiant complexion.

Furthermore, incorporating regular exfoliation into a skincare routine can greatly benefit dry mature skin. As we age, our skin's natural ability to shed dead skin cells slows down, resulting in a build-up of dull and flaky skin. By exfoliating regularly with our gentle chemical exfoliant, this process is accelerated, revealing brighter and smoother skin.

Another key factor to consider is sun protection. The harmful UV rays from the sun can accelerate signs of ageing, causing dryness, wrinkles, and age spots. It is important to use sunscreen with at least SPF 30 daily, even on cloudy days, and to reapply every two hours when exposed to direct sunlight.

In addition to these external factors, it is important to address any underlying health issues that may be contributing to dry mature skin. Hormonal imbalances, certain medications, and chronic health conditions can all affect the skin's moisture levels. Consulting with a healthcare professional can help identify and address these underlying causes.
